This is probably my favorite for many reasons but I do have to re-gear myself to play it because the combat is so slow. 3x speed is so nice. It was frustrating going from 7 straight to 9 and the drastic decrease in combat speed.

Fun fact that I just learned recently, Aran actually breaks 20 o the official rules of boxing. I like when games have endings to show you what happened when you failed. So many times we just get a game over screen and we load back in to keep playing. Like show me what happens after I die, show me what happens when I don’t make the time limit.

Another bad ending that got to me was the one in shadow of the covonet, basically one of your party members strikes a deal to trade their life for the main character's with spirits the main character is cursed by but no one else knows about it if you don't confront those spirits followed by certain steps, you finish the game as normal but the final credit 8s with the character dying

As an honorable mention in the comments i wanna point to the splatoon games bad endings cause seriously what the f*** nintendo we first got the extinction to humanity now if you fail the final boss in a dlc and the third game we now have the extinction of the inklings and octolings

Rewatching this for the first time in a while, and I can’t disagree more with the whole “don’t do the sidequests” message. First, the capstone sidequests are all killer, and I don’t think you can get them at all if you don’t do the rest. And second…I dunno, I thought the sidequests were fine, *especially* the wine one Clement hated so much. That one felt like trying to get my real-life friends together to do something cool, so seeing them chill and reminisce at the end was freaking awesome. And for the more fetch-quest or enemy-hunt ones, you just grab up a bunch, knock them all out as you go through each area, then turn ‘em all in when you get back. I guess if you did every single sidequest one at a time like a total weirdo, maybe it’d be a slog, but…who does that?

I remember that damn barrel always got me stuck. I used jump on the barrel to make it go down and at its lowest point turn super sonic to glitch through and keep going 🤣 and of course the Great Clement just goes “push up and down” 🤯
